HULL CLEANING
The importance of hull cleaning is simple. When done correctly it provides better fuel efficiency, higher speeds, and accurate RPM readings. This alone means a longer and more productive engine life. Clearing harmful sea life such as barnacles from fouling up intakes and services also prevents costly repairs.

Keeping your boat in the water for any period of time will create a sludge or slime along with the growth of barnacles that attach themselves to the running gear and services under your boat. To prevent malfunction of these services and cavitation, regular hull cleanings are necessary. We use the least abrasive material to clean effectively without stripping the hull of paint.

With barnacles on your boat's running gear you might experience symptoms such as:

vibration when the boat is in gear

black smoke coming from your exhaust

loss of RPMs

increased fuel consumption

knotmeter failure
-
depth-finder failure

lack of water draw through your intakes
If these symptoms are not addressed, or if a boats is run with barnacle growth on the running gear, it could result in much more serious problems such as:

warped shaft

damaged cutless bearing

nonfunctioning AC unit

With a full hull cleaning we provide a visual check of your previous bottom paint condition, along with cleaning of all services, through holes, intakes,knotmeters, transducers, trim tabs,rudders, running gear, plus a full maintenance report with zinc inspections or replacements.

Hull cleaning Rates
$165 minimum for vessels less than 40 ft.
$5.00 & up per ft. after 40 ft
$4.50 per ft. monthly customers 40 ft. and under.
$3.75 per ft. if paid in advance for the full year only applies to vessels under 40 ft.

PROPELLER SERVICES
Damage to your propeller can cause a variety of different issues and symptoms. If you are experiencing a loss or RPM's,vibration, or the inability to control direction you may want to have your propeller inspected. If damages are found you may want to consider avoiding a costly haul out and repair expense and opt for an underwater propeller removal (prop pull).

Propeller Removal and Reconditioning- We have accounts with all major propeller shops in the area. We will pick up and deliver your props to and from your boats location.
​
This repair can be very time consuming if not addressed promptly, this cost effective method will ensure the shortest delay in your travels. Where as a haul out may require weeks or months depending on scheduling.

MARINE SALVAGE
After damaging storms some may experience a sunken vessel. We at Tidewater Diving are equipped with a combination of airbags, pumps, and dive equipment to raise your vessel to the surface. We work with all insurance companies and are available for emergency's 24 hours a day.

Also, there is no jobs to big or small if you are in search of lost items that may have been dropped in the water. We would do our best to search and find any lost items that you may have. The sooner you call the better due to current change and tidal movement, because they can be carried away or shift otherwise making it difficult to be found. We use illuminating equipment to perform a high quality search under water.
